Practicalities and time-line
Deadlines
- In response to many requests we received form the conference participants we extend the deadline for draft papers/extended abstract submission to Friday 22 May 2009. This extension applies also to the commissioned papers.
- A detailed programme for the conference will be available from the 15th May (specifying exactly when each paper will be presented).
- You should book your hotel by the 1st May at the latest (however, we strongly suggest that you do this immediately as hotels are getting booked up. You can use the form on this website to book a hotel at a reduced rate).
- Your completed paper (or an extended abstract) should be submitted by the 15th May (if you are presenting); these will be made available to participants two weeks prior to the conference via the website.
Participants are responsible for all travel, hotel and subsistence costs. Lunches and a reception on the Thursday evening will be provided by the conference hosts.
On the Friday evening there will be a “self-organizing” entertainment at a number of bars and restaurants in the centre of Amsterdam. Participants will be given recommendations of places to meet up during the course of the evening.
Please let us know whether you plan to participate in the Thursday evening reception (and whether you are vegetarian or vegan) by immediately sending an email to conference2009@ksinetwork.nl (or in any case by 1st of May after which final numbers will be given to the venue).
Instructions for authors
We request full papers not exceeding 8000 words with references, font: Times New Roman 12, single spacing, not justified or extended outline of about 4000 words with references, Times New Roman 12, single spacing not justified.
Both, the papers as well as the extended outlines should have full details of the corresponding author, they should also have a title! In case of a paper, please include an abstract of max 200 words and max of 5 key words. In case of an outline, please make sure the line of argumentation as well as the structure of the paper is clear.
The submission should be in a Microsoft Word 97-2003 file (no docx extensions or pdfs).
No specific requirements for references, tables and figures - this will depend on a selected journal where the best papers will be published.
At this moment there is no copyright issue, however when the paper is selected for publication in a journal - it has to be original material not published elsewhere.
